Come and join us on a mystical magic-carpet ride this Christmas for our popular family pantomime Aladdin. Steven Roberts(Hollyoaks, The History Boys) takes on the title role aiming to outwit the evil Abanazar, played by Emmerdale and Casualty star Rik Makarem.
Joining them will be Milkshake favourite Kiera-Nicole Brennan as the Genie, Theatre Royal panto stalwart Richard Gauntlett as Widow Twankey, and Norfolk-based comedy entertainer Ben Langley as Wishee-Washee, plus further casting to be announced.
Written and directed once again by Richard Gauntlett, the show is set in the Far East and promises dazzling costumes, a stunning set, mischievous fun, and entertainment for all the family. Book now.

Elf University is back! Santa needs your help, but elves need to be trained and graduate from Elf Uni first. Family Club members are invited to come and be an E.I.T (Elf in Training) in November. Free, fun workshops start on Saturday 3 and Sunday 4 November and continue every Thursday 4-7pm throughout November (except on 15 Nov, when we have a Meet Santa event), finishing with a special graduation day on Sunday 2 December.

Make special ‘super speedy’ reindeer food – a favourite activity that will be needed again to guide the reindeer on Christmas Eve – plus a magical elf door. Did you know that elves use their own magical door to gain access to houses to ensure that they can update the Naughty & Nice List and more importantly to make sure everything is ready for Santa on Christmas Eve.
First year E.I.Ts can also make a label for Santa’s Special Key, because access to houses without chimneys is important!

Come on board the Vintage Broadsman with Santa and his Pixies for an hour of Family Festive Fun. The Pixies will serve mulled wine and mince pies for the adults and a soft drink and festive cookie for the children. While Santa’s sleigh is flying overhead, children can take part in our seasonal quiz, sing along to Christmas songs and enter our colouring or drawing competition. Santa will then land on the roof, and come down into the cosy saloon with a sack bursting full of named quality presents for all the 1-15 year olds. Presents can be available for under 1’s at £5.00

There’ll be a parade with Father Christmas, entertainment in front of City Hall and the switching on of the city centre lights.
The Tunnel of Light is back this year! The tunnel will be going live at the same time as the lights in the City. To get in on the action use the hashtag #MyTunnelOfLight on both Twitter and Instagram when posting your photos, and use our very own Geofilter on Snapchat!
And for even more excitement the projections on the Castle are back. This year the projections will show 10 3 minute films.
