Free activities
Have you ever wanted to create your own stage set? Well, with Cardboard Creations: Build a Stage Set (9 Apr), now you can! So, drop in for a free session to create your own set using cardboard boxes and craft materials. Plus, there’s no carpentry experience needed.
With a range of free activities to participate in, Manual for Kindness (9 Apr) is the perfect opportunity to explore your creative side with drawing and writing. Pick up your copy at the Box Office at Norwich Theatre Royal.
Take part activities
Take part in our Kindness Choir (9 Apr), where you can learn some familiar songs from musicals. The perfect chance for the whole family to come together to enjoy a fun sing-along!
Dance Day is the perfect opportunity to produce an original piece of dance! The workshop provides creativity, imagination, and confidence through dance — the perfect opportunity for you to express yourself through movement.
Or visit Drama Day, a fun workshop to devise your own piece of theatre! Participate in a range of games to warm you up before delving into a range of roles, from acting to directing, to create the perfect original piece.
Dance and Drama Days are broken into half-day sessions and will allow you to dive into the perfect creative day on 10 Apr! No experience is needed.
Want a coffee break
Café Royal is open six days a week to meet friends or relax after a workshop. The café will offer a free cookie with every children’s hot chocolate or Fruit Shoot during the half term week. Don’t forget to stamp your loyalty card to get your tenth drink free.
Spectacular shows
Escape the real world with your little ones to where fantastical creatures and monsters hide in the dark. In the Dead the Night (5 Apr), Arthur McBain’s book has been transformed into a whimsical world on stage where we’re as scared as Lily as she braves the noises she hears in the middle of the night.
For your older kids, why not try the musical come rock concert Jesus Christ Superstar (8 – 13 Apr)? It is set against the backdrop of an extraordinary series of events during the final weeks of Jesus Christ’s life, as seen through the eyes of Judas. Reflecting the rock roots that defined a generation, the legendary score includes ‘I Don’t Know How to Love Him’, ‘Gethsemane’, and ‘Superstar’.
