A list of child friendly toilets in and around Norwich city centre with baby changing facilities and room for a buggy.
Many of us know this feeling… the potty-training toddler is busting for a wee and you need to make it to somewhere NOW, or you’re in the middle of a fun day out in the city and the baby’s explosive milk poo is seeping out of the sides….
Where can you go in the city with toilet facilities big enough to fit in a buggy with child-friendly toilets and baby changing facilities?
Thanks to our fab Mumbler chat group experts and a bit of digging online, I’ve come up with a list of toilet options if you happen to be in the city and need some help!
Mumbler group recommendations:
The Forum – the children’s library toilets are wonderful. Big, room for buggies, child friendly toilets, potties and baby changing facilities. (Watch out for those noisy hand dryers though, my baby nearly jumped out of his skin!)
Chapelfield – this has so many recommendations! Near House of Fraser on the top floor, enough room for buggies in both the women AND mens section.
Castle Mall – near the Cattlemarket Street pedestrian entrance.
Norwich Market -adjacent to St Peter’s street at the back of the market. Accessible toilet with baby changing facilities needing a RADAR key.
Rose Lane car park – baby changing inside accessible toilet: needs RADAR key
St Andrews car park – accessible toilet needs RADAR key
The very excellent toilets in the Forum children’s library
Breastfeeding friendly and accessible toilets in city cafes:
Now while in my humble opinion, all catering businesses should be breastfeeding friendly, Norwich city council has a list of those with a breastfeeding merit badge, so you know they are happy to accommodate breastfeeding mummies. Below is the Norwich Mumbler list of breastfeeding friendly caterers in the city – please don’t let this put you off going to other venues, it’s just a helpful thing to know!
