The Lord Mayor’s Celebration 2019

Saturday 6th July 2019

Venue: Chapelfield Gardens

  • Festival Bar: 11am-10.15pm
  • Funfair: 11am – 10.30pm
  • Maui Waui Stage: 11am – 10.15pm. A day of live music featuring a selection of folk, reggae, electro swing acts and a DJ to finish. Also a chance to see the winner of the Norwich edition of ‘Maui’s got Talent’.
  • BBC Introducing in Norfolk: 3pm-10.15pm. Sophie Little’s radio show with great music and exciting local acts.

Venue: Westlegate

  • Music Performances 11am-5pm: Performances from talented young songwriters and musicians.
  • Pirate Party 7.30pm-10.30pm Your favourite ship-mates at InTouch Systems know how to throw a disco.

Venue: The Forum

  • The Forum Stage Midday – 10.15pm: an eclectic mix of live music before an evening of acts selected by Norwich Arts Centre.

Venue: Chantry Car Park

  • Lord Mayor’s Pedal Pad. Midday – 8pm; Come along throughout the day to enjoy creative activities for the whole family. From science experiments and baby wriggle to circus skills and pedal power amusements.
  • Silent Disco, 8pm -10pm: Two DJ’s, two soundtracks! Choose what you want to dance to and which family member to have a dance off with!

Venue: Across the City!

  • Midday to 5pm: Prepare to be amazed by bewildered beasts, deep sea divers and mystical creatures across the city centre.
  • Midday to 5pm: Music around every corner from classical to calypso

Venue: Theatre Street and Norwich Market

  • Feast on the Street 11am-11pm

Venue: St Gregory’s Green

  • Comedy, performance and cabaret with live music and DJs; Midday to 8pm.

Venue: Whitefriars Bridge, Castle Meadow, St Stephens Street

  • The Lord Mayor’s 5K City Centre Classic, now in its 24th year: 4.45pm

Venue: From St Stephens Road, Castle Meadow, Tombland to Palace Street

  • The Lord Mayor’s Procession, 5pm. The theme this year is ‘love the world around you’.

Venue: Norwich Castle/City Hall

  • Fireworks, 10.30pm. Fired from Norwich Castle and set to music outside City Hall

Disabled viewing – St Peters Street motorbike park next to St Peter Mancroft Church. Toilets provided.
