The Norse Nook is an independent store based online and in Swaffham, stocking bright, ethical, organic & sustainable clothes, wooden toys, Fairtrade chocolate, zero waste Vegan homeware and period products.
During the first year of our son’s life, he struggled with skin problems that we discovered were not only food related (naughty lactose!) but also a reaction to nappies and wipes. A nursery worker suggested we investigate reusable nappies, with a change to cloth nappies, wipes, and organic clothing. His symptoms disappeared almost overnight, and we have not looked back. This inspired us to start our own business as our passion grew for all things Scandi and eco-friendly. From here we have branched out further into adult clothing most notably the wonderful Run and Fly dungarees.
Our biggest life changes have come from the discovery of eco homeware products that we often test and inform our Facebook followers on our Facebook page all about. We feel you should be able to see the benefits of a product before committing to buy it, so head over to the Natter Group on our Facebook Page to discover more, if you prefer Instagram, we are there too.
The children’s clothes we stock are made from GOTs certified Organic cotton, and are made to last through all the kids put them through, so much so you will be able to hand them down or sell them on after they grow out of them. We are not about fast fashion but clothes that are ethical made to last.
After launching online and gaining a Social Media following, we wanted to open a shop in the local area, and found a wonderful spot in Plowright Place in Swaffham, opening our doors in October 2020. We stock clothes from new-born to adult, the shop has wonderful brands including Frugi, Duns, Maxomorra, Tender Leaf, Lanka Kade and many more and most importantly, nothing is split into boys & girls, just clothes for kids.
We would love you to visit us in store at 19 Plowright Place Swaffham, and please check out our WEBSITE HERE to see what we have to offer.
See you soon
