Pop-up Planetarium at intu Chapelfield

Step inside the pop-up Planetarium at intu Chapelfield for an out of this world experience

Zoom off to another galaxy with intu Chapelfield this October half-term as the shopping centre teams up with the Norwich Science Festival to bring an out of this world experience to the city.

From Thursday 24 to Saturday 26 October, visitors can reach for the stars by stepping inside a pop-up planetarium for an exciting, 360-degree space exploration experience.

This year marks the 50th anniversary of the first manned landings on the Moon, and intu Chapelfield is giving everyone the chance to have an astronomical experience of their own, by visiting the specially designed, inflatable space dome.

Sheridan Smith, marketing manager at intu Chapelfield says; “For three days only, we’re over the moon to be hosting the pop-up planetarium. It’s all part of the Norwich Science Festival and promises to be an out of this world adventure for all the family. Join us for a successful mission as we investigate and explore more about the Universe beyond planet Earth, from right here in Norwich.”

Between 10am and 4pm over the three days, the inflatable science dome will be showing 40-minute presentations. These incredible, fully immersive shows will reveal more about space exploration and how scientists have investigated the Universe beyond planet Earth.

The planetarium will be located on the upper ground mall next to Pret. Spaces are expected to get snapped up quickly, so pre-booking is required.

Sheridan adds; “Our intu family club members will be getting a little bit of advance notice before the booking system launches, so if you want to be first in line to take flight, make sure you’ve signed up online.”

The intu family club is free to join, with members receiving exclusive discounts, offers and much more. Sign up here
