Free ‘black cats and witches hats’ trail for families to enjoy, along with a spooktacular Halloween photo opportunity and Autumn-themed visits from the RSPB.
Families can pick up a free trail map from HMV or The Works on the lower ground floor then find the letters to spell a magical word, before posting their entry to be in with a chance of winning a prize worth over £150. The first 1,000 families to do the trail can also pick up a free trail badge.
RSPB will be visiting us on select days throughout October Half Term. See them on Tuesday 24th, Wednesday 25th and Saturday 28th October and enjoy their autumn-themed display.

Start your adventure at Hazel’s Hideaway where you can craft your own Boggle Bindle Lantern to help light up the woods, before embarking on a journey of terrific tales & magic…

Explore a wide range of products and services from local providers, and gain valuable knowledge about everything pregnancy, birth and parenting at Norfolk’s ULTIMATE Bump, Birth & Baby Fair. Discover everything you need to know for your growing family.
We have a range of free, interesting and informative talks to attend, and complimentary goody bags for the first 150 people. The event is breastfeeding friendly, with a quiet place to feed, along with an activity area for littlies, and ample free parking.
Exhibitors can be found on our website, along with the talks timetable. Advance tickets are £3 per 2 adults and under 16’s go free.

The Rockland St Mary Scarecrow Trail is back for 2023 and bigger than ever!
This Year’s Theme is ‘The Letter ‘M’ – slightly random but with an INCREDIBLE amount of possibilities. Who will you spot around the village? It could be anyone as long as they start with the Letter ‘M’. Will it be Mr Potato Head, Mike Wazowski, The Muppets, A Mummy, Mr Men, Super Mario, the list goes on!
This year’s trail takes place during half term so that the whole family can get involved. Saturday 21st October – Sunday 29th October.

The Fairyland Trust charity presents “The Real Halloween” on Saturday 28th and Sunday 29th October 2023. An outdoor, family-focused Halloween celebration with magical activities, storytelling at dusk & a lantern parade as night falls. Set in a beautiful woodland glade in the depths of Norfolk, this is Halloween as it should be.
Explore the woods, make a Real Broomstick, a Halloween Lantern, visit the Fairy King and Queen, get creative in the Witches’ Kitchen, try your luck at Halloween Games, and send a Pixie Post Office postcard.
Entertainment includes Oli Rimski on his pedal-powered piano, music from King Driscolls and PennyLess, Mr Pineapple Head’s hilarious show, Musical Toadstools, storytelling, plus walkabout silly Trolls, endearing Bats, and other magical folk.
If places are still available, you can make a Magic Wand, a Witches’ Owl, a Witches’ Bat, a Wizard Shield, or even join in with Witch or Wizard Training. These workshops can be booked when you buy your entrance ticket, and cost £3/ child (plus booking fee). Workshops are for children over 3 years old.
As dusk falls, listen to the telling of The Real Halloween story, before hundreds of lanterns are lit to join our special Animal Lanterns for a parade.

We love witches! They are the stars of all our favourite spooky stories, and here’s your chance to make your own! Our workshop leaders will show you how to make the puppet, and then the creativity is up to you. We’ll have a choice of wonderful making materials to customise your creations.
