BeWILDerwood is buzzing with excitement for our fabulous fete and spring celebrations!
Mildred, the Crocklebog resident of the Scaaaaary Lake, has been practicing for weeks, and would like you all to join her in some BeWILDerwood maypole dancing! Swirl and twirl to help wake up our bugs for Spring!
But of course, it wouldn’t be Mildred without a little bit of mayhem…expect fun and frolics at the Grubbles Mini Games! A series of fete style activities to delight our friends!
It’s a beautiful time of year, make sure to look around at the beautiful wild woods as you race across treetop bridges and zoom along the zip wires.

See the colourful displays from the East Norfolk Militia, a local Red Coat Napoleonic era re-enactment group as well as exciting falconry displays. There will be a range of craft and art displays to browse and buy something that little bit different. Families can also try their hand at some old fashioned garden games, archery and clay pigeon shooting. For the little ones we have Punch and Judy and storytelling taking place. For those of you with four legged friends why not enter them into our fun dog show which will take place in the afternoon on both days.
The fun starts from 10.30am to 5pm

The famous “Royal Train” episode of Dad’s Army was filmed at Weybourne Station back in 1973. Now Corporal Jones’ much loved Butchers van brings the Walmington-on-Sea stars to life again at Weybourne as the station is taken over by the Home Guard courtesy of Thetford Dad’s Army Museum; Timescape will be entertaining one and all with songs of the era and the NAAFI will be open selling supplies!

A free club for Norfolk families has launched at intu Chapelfield just in time for May half term.
intu’s family club will offer parents and their children a number of fun activities to enjoy together at the popular shopping destination. There will be the chance to race each other around a giant Scalextric track and pose for silly snaps in a photo booth, over the week-long school holiday.
Family club members will also receive a series of special offers, free gifts and the opportunity to take part in more events at intu centres across the UK as part of their membership.
More than 500 children across the country as well as members of intu’s ‘Shopper view’ panel, which is made up of customers from its UK centres, were given their say on everything from the activities the new family club will offer to the free gifts they’ll receive.
All activities are free.

Family event: Wild Touch wildlife rescue is a small, experienced rescue service in Rollesby rescuing and rehabilitating wild and exotic creatures. Come and meet some of their animals and get closer to nature than you ever expected. Hold a Barn Owl, play with a Raven and get to know a variety of other animals that you would never normally get the chance to meet.
