I signed the Teeny Mumbler up to take part in one of their studies. It took 20mins and she just had to watch a video with a sticker on her head, plus she got a T-shirt and some bubbles for taking part.
DDL are at the Big Day in the City with a competition and some games to play!
Do you have a child aged 0 to 5 years? Would you like them to take part in our child development studies?
We are a research laboratory based in the Psychology department at the UEA interested in early child development.
The research suite houses an infant behaviour observation laboratory, eyetracking systems and near-infrared spectroscopy allowing researchers to bring a variety of converging techniques to bear on the challenging problem of understanding how the human mind develops and changes through early life.
The lab is continuously carrying out a number of research studies looking at how children think, remember and pay attention to things. We use fun tasks with toys or children look at changing pictures on a screen. We would love to hear from any parents who would like their child to take part. This could be just a one hour visit or if you would like your child could take part in our three year Brain study. We understand how busy family life can be and really appreciate any time you can commit to help us.
We have free parking at the UEA or can reimburse public transport travel costs. To thank you for your time your child will receive a Toy and a ‘child Scientist’ T-shirt.
This Research aims to aid diagnosis and intervention tools for children in the future.
