Looking for outdoorsy activities that your little ones will love this summer? Finding somewhere new to go without breaking the bank is always a bit of a challenge for parents. But you know you can rely on Norwich Mumbler to bring you news of the very latest places to visit, and this is a fab one. A brand new sculpture trail coming to Norfolk for the very first time, featuring a unicorn, aliens, tigers, a panda, crocodile, dinosaurs and more, but be quick, it’s here for five weeks only.
Launching on 24th July, UK Adventure Trails is bringing its wonderful woodland trail of more than 80 sculptures to Raynham Estate near Fakenham (about 25 miles from Norwich.)
Designed for children aged two to ten, the UK Adventure Trail Norfolk is a magical woodland walk with a difference. Hidden around every tree you will discover fantastic beings and mystical creatures for inquisitive explorers to discover. From dragons and dinosaurs to pirates and aliens, eagle-eyed adventurers can spot more than 80 characters nestling in the woods, with six themed zones to wander through. Tickets include a free activity booklet with quests to complete along the way too.
The trail will be located in Lady Ferrers’ Wood, in the heart of the beautiful Raynham Estate, the first time these historic woodlands have been opened up to the public.
Odin Events is the company behind UK Adventure Trails. And after launching in Cirencester at Easter to rave reviews (check out Facebook) their director Bethyn says they cannot wait to bring this hugely popular trail to East Anglia this summer. “We have been running events across the UK for more than ten years. After months and months of families being isolated from each other, we wanted to create events that allow children, parents and grandparents to spend quality time together in the fresh air and have fun outdoors. Little faces are sure to light up when they spot a unicorn, dinosaur and lots of safari animal sculptures hidden in the woods. Where else can you be snapping a selfie with a hippo one minute, and spotting aliens the next!?”
Sounds like the perfect trip out for little legs, adventurous souls and curious minds.
