Strumpshaw Fen, nice little children’s trail and you can hire explorer or pond dipping kits. I’ve not been but Taverham Mill’s supposed to be nice. Blickling and do the lake walk or park further away (used to be free but think they might charge a bit now) and walk through the woods, really nice at bluebell time. Fairhaven water gardens, lots of little paths for kids. Park at Weaver’s way in Buxton or bit closer to Aylsham and walk to train station (you’ll prob need sling for this). Felbrigg and Sheringham park nice too. SB Jan ’18
Ranworth broad – short walk / potter in the old church (and climb tower if it’s open), watch the boats and ducks, have a drink from the shop or treat yourself to lunch at the amazing pub.

West runton…rock pooling!! Kids LOVE IT! Jimmys farm…after today I’ve claimed it as fave day out ever. Felbrigg for den building, mudd sqelching and general boy fun. Ickworth house for similar but diff. They have amazeballs icecream in summer too for grown ups! Mundesley beach in summer… has everything and close by so perfect for small kiddos. Sheringham park for bike/scooter day out. Brandon park is super good alternative to high lodge. Way way cheaper and lots on still.

Beach walks are always good! We all love looking for interesting stones, fossils, shells and sea glass.
Also woodland walks where there’s a bit of tree climbing, mud squelching and den building to be done.

We went to Thetford High Lodge yesterday. They have a Grufflo and Zog trail. We took a picnic, the boys just ran, kicked pine cones and collected sticks. 💞 Aswell as play on the huge play areas.. def recommend.. good, expensive though and car park!
