Fee Fi Fo Fun as Norwich Theatre Royal announces Jack & the Beanstalk 10 December 2022 – 7 January 2023
Norwich Theatre is full of beans to announce that its much-anticipated pantomime production will be Jack & the Beanstalk, opening at Norwich Theatre Royal Saturday 10 December 2022, running until Saturday 7 January 2023.
Jack & the Beanstalk tells the story of hero Jack who swaps his family’s cow for a bag of magic beans. By climbing the beanstalk of the beans he planted he finds himself on a GIANT adventure! The show will be jam-packed full of slapstick comedy, laugh-out-loud gags, outrageous costumes, dazzling song and dance numbers and plenty of chances to cheer, boo and hiss. We hope to see you there for some Fee Fi Fo Fun!
An Early Bird Offer of £5 off all performances is available. Audiences will need to act fast to take up this great offer with it ending on 30 April 2022. Terms and conditions apply.
Actor, presenter, and local treasure Joe Tracini, who won the hearts of the Norwich Theatre Royal audiences as Tommy the Cat in last year’s pantomime returns with his unique style of madcap comedy as our hero, Jack. Joe is the host of the BAFTA-winning BBC show The Dengineers, and entertained millions of people with his hilarious Active Dance Tutorials during lockdowns.
Once again, donning a flamboyant dame costume on stage, Richard Gauntlett will play Jack’s Mum, Dame Trott. This will mark Richard’s 22nd pantomime appearance at Norwich Theatre, and he cannot wait to be delighting Norwich’s audience once more.
Stephen Crocker, Norwich Theatre Chief Executive & Creative Director, said: “It’s lovely to be back with our festive pantomime! We were thrilled to welcome thousands of people to enjoy Dick Whittington and his Cat last Christmastime, and even more so that it has just been nominated by the Pantomime Association as Best Pantomime (over 900 seats). We know our audiences in Norfolk love pantomime and this year we are returning with a traditional favourite packed with all of the pantomime ingredients audiences want.
“It’s never too early to be planning Christmas fun, and Jack & the Beanstalk promises plenty of laughs, fantastic costumes and special effects to amaze all the family.” The on-sale dates for Jack & the Beanstalk
