International Women’s Day : March 8th 2021
International Women’s Day is a global day celebrating the social, political, economic and cultural achievements of women. It’s also a day to raise awareness about women’s equality.
Today also marks the start of National Science Week, and the Norfolk Library Service has made this book available to download (see below)

For the first time, East Anglian Air ambulance is hosting a virtual event to celebrate IWD, bringing together a panel of some of the inspirational women who help save lives every day in East Anglia.

A challenged world is an alert world. Individually, we’re all responsible for our own thoughts and actions – all day, every day.
We can all choose to challenge and call out gender bias and inequality. We can all choose to seek out and celebrate women’s achievements. Collectively, we can all help create an inclusive world.
From challenge comes change, so let’s all choose to challenge.
