Breastfeeding and Feeding Support – Norwich & Norfolk
After talking to Luisa, the Infant Feeding Coordinator at the N&N hospital, following our chats on BBC Radio Norfolk, it was clear the Infant Feeding team want to make sure support information gets out to parents. PLEASE share with any feeding or pregnant parents!
Luisa has given this information for those that need support:
You can access the specialist lactation consultant clinic (NHS) via your community midwife OR directly by contacting the Infant Feeding team on 01603 286058.
As they are often out on the ward out of the office (based on Blakeney ward) you can also bleep up 0830-1630 Mon to Fri in general (sometimes they have one of our 2 Maternity Care Assistants on at the weekend) on bleep 1361. They need to call switchboard on 286286 to bleep them.
You can contact a midwife 24 hours a day if you are concerned via medicom on 01603 481222.
If anyone has had a negative feeding experience, please feedback via PALS or formal complaint if you prefer, so they can investigate your care and speak to the staff involved if there are shortcomings.
