On an average woodland walk with the children it takes less than 15 minutes for us to find ourselves in the throws of an unnecessarily competitive game of ‘spot the prettiest flower/ /nicest stone / biggest stick’, in order to abate the grumbles; including – but not limited to:
“I’m hungry/thirsty – both”
“Are there any playthings?”
“Are we almost back at the car?”
If this sounds familiar, I can thoroughly recommend Adventure Trails Norfolk in Lady Ferrers’ Wood, Raynham after our trip on Sunday.
Nestled among the trees are growling bears, swinging monkeys, a family of aliens, pirates, massive dinosaurs and even a unicorn. The trail took us just over an hour and we had plenty of time to stop at each attraction for a photo with space to ourselves. There are also activity sheets to keep children engaged in ticking off sights as they spot them.
